Financial Policy

What we charge, when it is due, what happens if you cannot pay it, and what we do before we ever send an account to collections.

When is payment due?

Your estimated portion is due at the time of service. We will have given you that estimate in advance, in writing, based on a verified benefits check rather than an assumption.

Estimates are estimates. If your insurer pays more than expected we refund the difference within two weeks. If they pay less, we send you a statement explaining which procedure code was paid differently and why.

How can I pay?

  • Cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
  • HSA and FSA cards
  • CareCredit, including the 6-month and 12-month no-interest plans if you qualify
  • In-house payment arrangements, described below

We do not charge a card processing fee.

What if I cannot pay the full amount today?

Ask Rosa. We set up interest-free payment arrangements in the office, without a credit check and without a third party, for treatment plans over $400. The usual arrangement is three or four monthly payments.

This is not something we advertise on a poster, and it is not means-tested. If the number is a problem, say so and we will work it out. We would much rather treat your child on a payment plan than watch a cavity turn into an abscess over eight months.

Cancellation and missed appointments

We ask for one business day’s notice. There is no fee for the first two late cancellations or missed appointments in a calendar year. After that the fee is $45, and we will always call you before applying it.

Sick children are never charged. Fever, vomiting in the last 24 hours, or hand-foot-and-mouth means keep them home and call us. This applies every time, with no limit.

Fees for common treatment

These are our full fees before insurance. Most families pay considerably less.

Treatment Fee
New patient exam, cleaning, and fluoride $215
Recall exam, cleaning, and fluoride $178
Two bitewing x-rays $62
Sealant, per tooth $68
Silver diamine fluoride, per tooth $45
Composite filling, one surface $195
Stainless steel crown $410
Zirconia crown, front tooth $560
Nitrous oxide, per appointment $85
Emergency exam, limited $110

Fees were last reviewed in July 2026.

Collections

We do not use a collections agency and we do not report to credit bureaus.

If an account goes unpaid we will call you, twice, and offer a payment arrangement. Accounts that remain unpaid after 120 days without contact are written off and the family is asked to pay at the time of service going forward. That is the whole policy.
